In the history of the first century Church, the ministry of the apostle Paul was well recorded by Doctor Luke in the Book of Acts. But many Christians who have not given the Bible much thought, hardly known who Doctor Luke the author of the Book of Acts was. If Luke had not taken the time to write the Book of Acts, probably today we would hardly know who the apostle Paul was.
The Bible also tells us that Barnabas, one of Paul’s companions who introduced Paul to the other apostles. He was also responsible for recognizing his efficiency and brought him into the ministry of Christ at Antioch. Sadly, Barnabas himself was also not well known by most Christians. Paul’s friends made Paul’s ministry more widespread and effective.
